Leadership

Rev. Sarah Hooker
Campus Minister

Sarah is currently serving as the Presbyterian Campus Minister for UKirk Atlanta which includes the ministries at Agnes Scott College and Emory University. Originally from Minnesota, Sarah attended Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. After college she ministered in Kenya for a year as a Young Adult Volunteer with the PC(USA). Upon her return, Sarah attended Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA, graduating with her Master of Divinity.

Sarah has served as a Chaplain at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA working with oncology and stem-cell transplant patients. Sarah was also a Solo Pastor for four years in the beautiful Catskill mountains in Delhi, NY.

In addition to her pastoral work, Sarah serves on the board of Young Clergy Women International as Co-chair.

A self-proclaimed nerd, Sarah enjoys playing superheros and all things Star Wars with her five year old. She also enjoys reading science fiction and YA literature, cooking and eating all kinds of food (the stranger the better), and long road trips. She also sings in the Emory Community Choir. She is married to Rev. Christopher Hooker and mother to Eli.

Drew Wilmesherr
Intern

Drew Wilmesherr (our new intern! YAY!) is a Top 40 Mashup of West Virginia and Mississippi. He was designed and made in Atlanta, Georgia. He's made of collard greens, guitar strings, and stories about Jesus. He went to Middle-Tennessee State University (Go Blue Raiders!), where he studied English and Recording Industry Management. In between classes and projects, he attended the Presbyterian Student Fellowship at MTSU, making lifelong friends, leading worship (the guitars and synthesizers kind), and discovered a passion for ministry and the person of Jesus. He recently graduated from Columbia Theological Seminary with a Master's in Divinity.

Currently he is obsessed with 80's pop bands and their haircuts, poetry about food, and Raging Burritos burritos. He will always have at least three ideas for hanging out, and two of those ideas will always either be coffee or pizza. And if you get him started on what the future might look and feel like, you have to let the jukebox play the whole song out (he won't stop talking about it.)
